Wreath Laying and Memorial Service at the Zane graves

Conducted by the Fort Henry Chapter, SAR and the Wheeling Chapter DAR, this ceremony will honor Wheeling’s founder, Ebenezer Zane who claimed his 400 acre land grant in 1769, and his sister Elizabeth, heroine of the second siege of Fort Henry in 1782.

Walnut Grove Cemetery is located at the north end of Fourth Street in Martins Ferry, Ohio.

From Interstate 70 westbound, cross the Fort Henry Bridge and take Exit 0 for Wheeling Island. Turn right onto Ohio Route 7 northbound.
Exit at Hanover Street (left exit) and at Fourth Street, turn right (Grace Presbyterian Church is your landmark) and proceed northbound on Fourth Street. At the end of the street East Ohio Regional Hospital will be on your right. The road dead ends at the cemetery where there is a large parking area.
From Interstate 70 eastbound, take Exit 225 for Bridgeport/US 250 West/Ohio 7 North. Turn left onto Marion Street and then turn right onto Main Street, then left onto US 250 West and merge into Ohio Route 7 North.
Exit at Hanover Street (left exit) and at Fourth Street, turn right (Grace Presbyterian Church is your landmark) and proceed northbound on Fourth Street. At the end of the street East Ohio Regional Hospital will be on your right. The road dead ends at the cemetery where there is a large parking area.
