THE REUTHERS
Perhaps no American family is more important to labor history than the Reuthers of Wheeling. From patriarch Valentine, a German immigrant and socialist firebrand, to his sons Roy, Victor, and Walter, all instrumental in the growth of the UAW, the Reuthers were essential leaders in the development of labor unions locally, nationally, and around the world.
